New and Early Career Investigator Program
The ACO is working closely with an advisory group on a program that targets new and early career investigators with research interests in HIV vaccine related fields and/or currently working on CHVI funded projects and programs. The New and Early Career Investigator Program’s objective is to work with partners to help support the next generation of HIV vaccine researchers and raise the priority of vaccine research training nationally.
Webinars and workshops on scientific topics such as correlates of vaccine protection, and good participatory practice guidelines for biomedical HIV prevention trials are among the topics to facilitate training. Grant writing, how to build a team for a clinical trial, and the art of scientific communication are other topics being considered.
